About Us

The Calcutta Academy of Radiology (CAR) was established by Dr. Anup Sadhu, Dr. Bijon Kundu, and Dr. Viral Parekh with the aim of delivering quality Radiological education. One of the key objectives of CAR is to foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Through its various platforms, such as online forums, webinars, and publications, the academy encourages radiologists to engage in meaningful discussions, share their experiences, and collaborate on various projects. This collaborative approach not only enhances the professional growth of individual radiologists but also contributes to the overall advancement of the field.

Periodicals & e-learning:
We are extending an invitation to our fellow Radiologists to submit interesting cases and original work for potential publication in our Periodical - "Waves". Kindly submit your material in Word format along with high-quality images. Additionally, please include your photograph, details of your workplace, and email address. Submissions can be sent via email or WhatsApp to the provided phone number. Our YouTube channel regularly features new cases, receiving positive feedback on our teaching videos. We encourage all Radiologists to share their teaching videos with us for potential publication on our channel. In February 2020, we hosted a CME on GI Radiology, followed by another CME on Neuroradiology in July 2022. We have plans to organize more CME programs in the future. Join our education portal where all study materials are free, downloadable, and readily accessible.

Conferences:
Keeping abreast in the field of radiology is crucial due to its constant evolution and role in medical diagnosis and treatment. Radiology conferences and webinars provide opportunities for professionals to stay updated on the latest advancements, network with industry experts, and earn CME credits. In India, these events offer insights into global and local trends, allowing participants to learn from research, case studies, and hands-on training. Webinars provide a convenient alternative for those unable to attend in person, with organizations maintaining dedicated conference pages for easy access to event details. Regularly checking these pages is essential for professionals in the field. To facilitate easy access to these resources, we at Calcutta Academy of Radiology have a dedicated conference page on our website. Here, one can find comprehensive details about upcoming radiology conferences across India. With features like downloadable PDFs for each conference, professionals can quickly gather information about event schedules, topics, speakers, and registration details.

Careers:
Radiology is a crucial field in healthcare, constantly evolving to accurately diagnose and treat patients. For diagnostic centres and hospitals, finding the right radiologist is essential. Similarly, radiologists seeking new opportunities need to find positions that match their expertise. To simplify this process, Calcutta Academy of Radiology offers a Careers page connecting job openings with potential candidates across India. This platform provides up-to-date information on the latest job opportunities and fellowships. This Careers page is a vital link between employers and potential employees in radiology. By keeping it updated and providing clear information, both diagnostic centres/hospitals and radiologists can make informed decisions.
